Michael Bublé Won't Name His (Future) Kids After Twilight Characters

No offense Twi-hards, but singer Michael Bublé doesn't want to raise an "Edward," "Jacob" or a "Bella."

When the time is right for Bublé and his fiancé, Argentinian actress Luisana Loreley Lopilato de la Torre, to start a family of their own, he isn't looking to the Twilight saga for naming inspiration – even if his soon-to-be wife may be.

"I came up with some hypothetical names and I didn’t like the names, but she came up with … Bella Buble," the singer, 34, tells Entertainment Tonight Canada. "I swear to god, she kept coming up with these names, and she kept saying, 'Bella [or] I like Edward.' And then I realized, I think she’s talking about … Twilight."

He adds: "I think [Lopilato] wants me to name the kids after the Twilight characters, which is not going to happen."

Bublé says he "absolutely" wants to be a dad one day – hopefully, a good one. "I think nobody knows until you do it, and apparently when you do it, all of a sudden you just make it right," he says.

The couple has been engaged for nearly nine months, and Bublé says that wedding plans are set – and a secret.

"I just want it to be special," he says.

'True Blood' Stephen Moyer: I'm not Jealous of Robert Pattinson

The actor shot to fame in 2008 playing vampire Bill Compton in popular American television show True Blood. He is now 40 and insists he is happy it took a while for his career to take off.

Stephen is often asked if he feels any rivalry with the stars of Twilight but the British star is adamant he doesn’t envy Robert Pattinson, who plays brooding Edward Cullen in the hit Hollywood vampire franchise. Robert, 24, regularly admits his life has changed since he landed the role and often finds it unbearable living in the public spotlight.

“Listen, if I were a teenage girl I’d want to f**k Robert Pattinson!” Stephen joked in an interview with the British edition of GQ magazine. “I would have been floating upside down in a canal if I was Pattinson’s age. I wouldn’t have made it. I wish him the best of luck with that.”

The hunk went on to reveal he never planned to try and make it in America as he was happy doing theatre work in the UK. However, he was so impressed after reading the script for True Blood he decided he had to audition for the role.

“Theatre was always my passion,” Stephen explained. “I never wanted to do film or television, and I had kind of decided not to go to America before True Blood landed on my agent’s desk. But I was convinced to read it, begrudgingly. By lunch time the next day, I was on a plane to LA.”

'Supernatural' to reference 'Twilight'

Supernatural showrunner Sera Gamble has revealed that an upcoming episode of the show's sixth season will poke fun at the Twilight franchise.

She told TV Guide that other popular vampire series such as True Blood and The Vampire Diaries will also be referenced in the instalment, which is provisionally titled 'Live Free or Twi-Hard'.

"We're doing an episode about how vampires pretending to be Edward Cullen or the Salvatore brothers or Bill Compton are bad for you," she explained.

Gamble revealed that the episode will explore the current romantic fascination with vampires, popularised by Twilight and similar brands.

"Chicks are just throwing themselves at them!" she joked. "They think that 'vampire' equals 'I'm not going to try to have sex with you'. They will still take advantage of our children! They will turn you into a vampire or eat you."

Supernatural returns to The CW on September 24.
