Twilight Eclipse breaks $270 million in US, 558 Worldwide!
The film has sold over $270 million dollars of tickets in the US alone and has sold nearly 560 million worldwide! It has broke the all time domestic film and is currently #47! All time worldwide is #61! It is also ranked #1 on films that opened on Wednesdays!

Robert Pattinson: Kristen "Doesn't Hold Back"
Most would agree they are a match made in heaven, but even Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have their differences.
Opening up to a German newspaper, the Edward Cullen actor spoke of his “Twilight” co-star/real life lover, telling, “Kristen is always really good but also clearly speaks her mind. That can be a bit uncomfortable.”
He elaborated by saying, “After we shoot a scene she sometimes looks at the director and says, ‘Let’s do that again.’ If I did that she would probably kill me! She would probably say something like, ‘Shut up! The scene was perfect!’ ”
And as far as his hectic travel schedule goes, Rob says, “My home consists of three suitcases which I live out of. Everything is in there.”

'Eclipse' Gets Widest Domestic Release In Hollywood History
Opening in 4,416 theaters, the latest 'Twilight' film breaks record held by 'Iron Man 2.' Fans of "The Twilight Saga" are used to watching dreamy vampire Edward Cullen face down routinely shirtless werewolf Jacob Black over the heart of the beautiful Bella Swan — but it seems that Edward and Jacob have put aside their differences to team up against a new, unexpected opponent: Tony Stark.
Deadline Hollywood reports that "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" has already earned its first record without even officially landing in theaters. According to the report, "Eclipse" is currently slated to open in 4,416 theaters across North America, making it the single widest domestic release in Hollywood history. That same record was most recently held by Marvel Studios and Paramount's "Iron Man 2," which initially unspooled in 4,380 locations. Before that, "The Dark Knight" held the record in 2008 with 4,366 theaters.
There is currently no official count of how many locations plan to launch "Eclipse" with midnight showings on Wednesday (June 30).
Having already sunk its fangs into one record, the David Slade-directed "Eclipse" is well poised to cement its status in Hollywood history as it launches into theaters this week. In November, "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" enjoyed a massive $140 million opening weekend, more than doubling the initial numbers for the first "Twilight" film. With the summer season in full session, there's no telling how much damage "Eclipse" could do at the box office.

Taylor Lautner Thinks He's Better Than Robert Pattinson in 'Eclipse' Trailer
The first full trailer of "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" has finally arrived. Serving as the extended version of the previously-released 10-second teaser, this new promo video gives out a look at the moment Taylor Lautner's Jacob tries to convince Robert Pattinson's Edward he is a better choice for Bella, who is played by Kristen Stewart.
The less-than-two-minutes sneak peek also shares out a glimpse of Bryce Dallas Howard's Victoria as she makes a giant leap with Bella saying to Edward in the background that she has found them. Footage of the Volturi is also shared. In a snippet, Dakota Fanning's Jane warns Bella and Edward that the clan doesn't give second chances.
Directed by David Slade, this follow-up to "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" finds Bella once again being surrounded by danger. Knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob.
Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz and Peter Facinelli among others return to reprise their roles. Bryce Dallas Howard comes in to take over Victoria from Rachelle Lefevre. Xavier Samuel, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Jack Huston are among the new members. "Eclipse" is scheduled for a U.S. release on June 30.

Analysis: After Twilight, the first entry in The Twilight Saga before the franchise was called "The Twilight Saga," became a box office sensation in 2008, ultimately grossing $192.8 million, its sequel, New Moon, was dubbed one of the most-anticipated movies of 2009. It did not disappoint, drawing massive crowds out of the gate and finishing the year with nearly $290 million and counting. While the first two movies had pre-Thanksgiving launches, the third, Eclipse, has been aligned with the Independence Day holiday, in part, because the next Harry Potter reclaimed that series' historical pre-Thanksgiving slot. Eclipse is scheduled for Wednesday, June 30, or only seven months after New Moon.
Odds are that Eclipse won't reach the heights of New Moon, given the history of closely-timed, serialized sequels. The Matrix Revolutions, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and even Back to the Future Part III all grossed significantly less than their predecessors. When a second movie is hotly-anticipated after the first movie's success, it's highly unlikely that the next picture will even maintain the momentum (The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter being notable exceptions), and signs from New Moon's run suggest that The Twilight Saga will follow the pattern. New Moon had one of the biggest openings of all time, was extremely front-loaded and probably wasn't as well-liked as the first Twilight: Box Office Mojo readers gave it a "C+," compared to the first movie's "B." Also, the vampire fad could show fatigue by the summer, given the flood of vampire-themed TV shows, movies and paraphernalia in the market.
However, it would be silly to bet against Eclipse's chances at being a big box office draw in its own right. The Twilight brand is so strong right now that even a massive drop-off would mean a near blockbuster run for Eclipse, there are few other offerings this summer that will be as attractive to younger females, and there's always the possibility that it pulls a Harry Potter in terms of longevity. With no trailer available at publication time, it remains to be seen how Summit will up the ante in its marketing campaign.

First Cut of ‘Twilight: Eclipse’ ready. David Slade, who directed the vampire flick “30 Days of Night”, has been working hard as the director for the highly anticipated third installment in Summit Entertainemnt’s “Twilight” franchise. He has revealed that the first director’s cut of the flick is ready and has been sent over to the studio. He took to his Twitter page to announce, “Big day, screening first director’s cut to the studio phase 1. This will be the first time anyone out of editorial has seen the cut”.
Remember, the director’s cut is not the final cut and the general public most likely won’t get to see that version unless it winds up as a special feature on the DVD. The good news is, with a director’s cut of the flick finished, fans may be seeing a teaser trailer at the very least hitting the web very soon.

Twilight Eclipse Gets A Lord Of The Rings Score
The Twilight Saga is getting serious about music. They’ve hired Oscar winning composer Howard Shore to provide the score for its next installment, The Twilight Saga Eclipse, according to Movie Score.
Shore is probably best known for his masterful, award-winning work on The Lord of the Rings trilogy. More recently he provided the music for Mel Gibson’s upcoming thriller Edge of Darkness.
So far, the music has really been a non-factor in the Twilight series. They’ve already gone through two different composers. Carter Burwell scored the first movie in 2008 and Alexandre Desplat handled New Moon, but I doubt you noticed. Go ahead, hum the Twilight theme. You can’t, it doesn’t really have one. Maybe Shore can change that, and inject some sort of bombastic musical life into this mega-franchise.
